The Hambleton Inn has all the expected amenities of any first class Inn, but it
has its own distinctive character, as well ... as individual as each of its guest
chambers. There is the feeling of another era: Chandeliers, brasswork, oriental
carpets, finely tooled furnishings, paintings, etchings, prints, and the finest
collection of cookbooks in the Chesapeake Bay ... all reflections of the fortunes
and treasures brought home from foreign ports, and from lifetimes at sea. There
is even an upper floor porch providing a clear view of boats on the Miles River
and the Chesapeake Bay, and the lighthouse of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
The Hambleton Inn is a gracious and noble place to visit and stay. It's a wonderful
experience, right on the Harbor of St. Michaels, the "Nantucket of the Chesapeake
Bay."
